ALLMI Training for Hire Fleets

Hire fleet and depot managers can arrange on-site training for staff who operate lorry loaders, attach loads or signal lifting operations. We plan training around the equipment, attachments and lifting duties used at your depot, with nationwide weekday and weekend availability.

For a business with several depots, send a separate equipment list, candidate experience summary and preferred dates for each location. We confirm the course route, group size and training days before booking. Request a group quotation for your hire fleet, with training, ALLMI books and any optional Driver CPC charges itemised, and check available course dates.

A consistent booking process

Every booking starts with the equipment, candidate experience, work to be performed and the practical area. This determines the course route, duration, capacity and preparation needed. MHE Training UK delivers training nationwide on weekdays or weekends, subject to availability.

Browse all available courses, review public prices, use the knowledge hub to prepare your site, browse every machine we train on, or open the ALLMI training by county directory to reach every local training page.

ALLMI and lorry-loader training for industry

ALLMI Lorry Loader and Slinger / Signaller training remains our specialist priority. Haulage companies, builders merchants, timber suppliers, construction-support businesses and engineering sites often use vehicle-mounted loader cranes to deliver or position materials. The training needs to match the loader, attachment, representative loads, stabiliser arrangement and the actual duties carried out at your workplace.

Start with ALLMI Lorry Loader Operator training if employees operate the crane. Where staff also select lifting accessories, attach loads or signal the operator, review ALLMI Slinger / Signaller training. For Hiab and other suitable vehicle-mounted loader cranes, we provide ALLMI Lorry Loader training matched to the equipment and lifting duties.

How workplace training changes by sector

  • Builders merchants: mixed pedestrian and vehicle traffic, customer collections, long products, yard storage and delivery vehicles.
  • Timber and building supplies: long or awkward loads, cantilever racking, side-loading work and indoor/outdoor surfaces.
  • Haulage and transport: loading bays, trailer movements, lorry-loader duties, vehicle-mounted lift trucks and busy traffic routes.
  • Warehousing and distribution: racking interfaces, confined aisles, reach and VNA work, order picking and pedestrian equipment.
  • Manufacturing and engineering: production constraints, overhead lifting, specialist attachments and material movement between work areas.
  • Ports, yards and container operations: heavy equipment, large exclusion zones, container handling and complex vehicle-pedestrian interfaces.

Information to send before booking

For the fastest course recommendation, send the site postcode, machine type and make/model, attachments, candidate numbers, previous experience, the work normally carried out and your preferred weekday or weekend dates. For unusual equipment or ALLMI work, photographs of the machine, data plate, controls, attachment and training area can help confirm the correct course route before travel is arranged.

Choose the sector, then the machine category

  1. Start with the workplace: builders merchant, timber yard, haulage depot, warehouse, manufacturing site or port/yard operation.
  2. List every machine used: lorry loader, counterbalance, reach, VNA, sideloader, T1 vehicle-mounted truck, container handler or other MHE.
  3. Separate candidate routes: novice, experienced, refresher and conversion candidates should not be grouped automatically without checking previous training and recent experience.
  4. Match the course to the actual duties: operating a loader crane, slinging/signalling, long-load handling, pallet stacking or container work can require different training even at the same site.
  5. Use the sector page and machine page together: this keeps the training relevant to both the equipment and the workplace conditions.
