Before you complete the booking form

Check the course you need and gather the basic information about the machine and candidates. If you are unsure which category applies, review the training course range and the machines we train on before submitting the form.

Choose suitable training dates

Before sending the form, check the live training availability and note every date that could work for your site. Providing more than one suitable date gives the best chance of matching your training requirement to the diary. Training is delivered on site, so travel, access, the practical area and the availability of the correct equipment all need to be considered before a date is confirmed.

Tell us about the candidates

Candidate experience matters because the correct course route depends on what each person can already do safely and what previous training can be evidenced. Do not assume that experience on one truck or machine automatically covers another category. Where candidates have different levels of experience, list them clearly so the training plan can be matched to the group rather than guessed from a single description.

If you have certificates, cards or previous training records that help establish experience, mention them in the form. You can also note whether the request is for initial training, refresher training, conversion training or a course linked to a different machine or lifting role.

Tell us about the site and equipment

On-site training needs suitable equipment and a safe practical area. Include enough detail to identify the machine that will be used, its normal workplace application and any attachments or unusual operating conditions. For lifting equipment, long-load handling, specialist warehouse trucks or other unusual MHE, include the details that make the machine different from a standard counterbalance truck.
